Consumers were becoming ambivalent about Hellmann’s. The “dressings” shelf was growing more crowded. People were trending towards trying new things while Hellmann’s risked seeming old and boring. I crafted the brand’s visual identity to elegantly echo back to their 100-year-old roots balanced with modern, bold typography paired with a celebration and national TV ad.
