Constant reinvention
The Masters is a global event that has a 25-year partnership with IBM. Augusta National challenged us with pitching a redesign to their existing product.

Data in context
A way for fans to get more data about the tournament and compare how their favorite players compete — getting closer to Augusta National than ever before.

  Owning their visual language  I approached redesigning the app as a way to align its design language with the Masters tournament — clean and classic. We drew our inspiration from the Master’s historic catalog of scorecards and results.

  Second screen insights  I led the client to integrate the Masters’ experience across all iOS devices enabled fans to stay in touch with the tournament and never miss live coverage of the Tournament.

  The digital roar  To enable fans to get closer to Augusta National I designed an alert device that leverage the galley’s famous ‘roar.’ I pitched installing IoT sensors through the course so we can trigger ‘roars’ that are dynamically created by the crowd. This is now possible with Watson Media.

Led the design pitch and prototype over the four weeks with teams across three locations which resulted in growth in business and a reward of Augusta’s design work. I oversaw the product until launch in April 2016.
